Asturlab Eid Al Fitr Festival 2022

Our Eid al-Fitr Festival 2022 was the first public, open-air, Muslim festival held in Christchurch’s central city.

This flagship event was an excellent opportunity to share one the most cherished festivals during the Muslim Calendar year with the wider communities here. It was indeed a successful event with around 3,500 attendees coming together to celebrate Muslim culture openly, freely and safely.

Asturlab aims to build on this year’s experiences and create bigger and better festivals to add to the many other exciting cultural events that are run regularly throughout the year here in Christchurch.
