Asturlab is a charitable trust founded in 2021 and located in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand.
Our intention is to build the most spiritually uplifted, sustainable, and impactful Muslim community in the world.
We are dedicated to building The Enlightened City, a vibrant community hub in the heart of Ōtautahi, Christchurch that comprises four houses: House of Peace, House of Healing, House of Wisdom, and Bazaar.
Asturlab takes its name from the astrolabe, a timeless instrument of guidance that opened pathways to knowledge, faith, and discovery. Where the astrolabe once directed Muslim travelers, scholars, and communities toward new horizons, Asturlab carries forward that spirit by guiding societies toward purpose, unity, and impact—serving as a modern compass for building enlightened cities rooted in Prophetic excellence.
